Sorry for my absence from the blogosphere. Between Good Friday and Easter, I get a bit wiped out from doing anything that takes exertion of brain power. Some might say that my blog doesn't take much, but for me it is a great use of my limited, but still useful, "gray matter." Especially after the holidays. I heard a great line on the Tuesday following Easter weekend. I was talking to Luke MacDonald from Harvest Bible Chapel and I asked him how he was doing after a massive weekend of services and ministry. His answer was classic -- "I am recovering from a HOLY HANGOVER." Holy Hangover? I never heard of Resurrection celebrations referred to in that way. I laughed. Then I realized that probably most of Christianity, except for pastors fully understand what he was talking about. I served communion 11 times over Thursday and Friday night services. I was getting into "pope status" that many times. I had to preach at 7AM on Easter morning -- i am usually just getting to church at that time. So by Sunday afternoon you feel like you are seven sheets to the wind. However, after a good nights rest you can look back with joy on all that God did. Unlike a chemically induced hangover where you can't remember anything that occurred in the past day or even how you got the hangover! Just some thoughts to get warmed up!
